We do the printing in Montreal, Canada. We also have logistic facilities within New York state. Orders shipped to Canadian customers are shipped from Montreal, and to US customers from New York state. No importation fees or any local tax for US customers.

Our email system may be sending you the tracking number before the shipper is scanning the item. We do suggest using your best possible original size (without upscaling your image), in JPEG format at the highest quality settings. and please use sRGB as colorspace ( for the best color rending on your online gallery). If you see the loss in quality in the image preview on your online gallery, this is due to the web compression for faster browsing of your online gallery and we will print exactly the file you uploaded without this loss of quality.

No, we are using exactly the original file you upload on your account. We don't compress or alter them. We do generate smaller preview images for sale on the website for many reason, but mostly to protect use from copying high resolution image from the website and improve the download speed for an optimal browsing and shopping experience, but the print quality of your photos will not be affected.

To receive your commission, you can always request your payment by clicking on the ‘Ask for payment’ button on the Sales history section on your Account. However, the payments are issued only 30 days after the shipment of the artwork. Afterwards, the payment will be send directly to your PayPal Account.

No, you can purchase your artwork without the artist commission. In order to access it, first you have to login into your account and on the gallery section, you’ll find a ‘BUY’ button. Once you click you’ll see a different price listing from the regular one.

Our pricing system is simple. You’re the one that set the amount you desire to receive for each sale, and we add the printing cost and we obtain the selling price. The payments of the commission are issued after you made a sell and the order has shipped to the client.

Your image has to fit a ratio that will correspond to our traditional puzzle print size. (approx 2:3 to 3:4 which is a regular typical digital camera format). If you have a square image or an image too panoramic, the puzzle print option will not be offered.

The public price any visitor see on the website is the retail price, including printing cost and your commission. To get a good example of how much commission you make, you can simply go to your account, your online gallery administration, one each artwork, click on the EYE icon with a $. It will show you a special page display the full price and the commission on each size. Flat price & price per dimension is easy to calculate. The percentage of profit however needs some clarification: Consider the percentage of profit is based on the printing cost, not the retail price As an exemple if an artwork is sold at 300$ on the site and you have 50% profit. Your profit is 100$. Cost is 200$ + 50% margin so 100$ = 300$

It's possible the website didn't processs them as their file extension was not supported, please make sure to upload files with extension .jpg or .jpeg. Please also make sure your filename only contain alphanumeric caracters. Some special symbol (such as #!*& ) or international caracters ( chinese, arabic ... ) might cause issue during the upload.

It can take up to 24 hours to generate all the preview pictures to be able to sell your art on different mediums. Those images will be generated during the night and available the next morning

Most probably it's due to the low-resolution image of your artwork. We calculate a minimum resolution for each print, below 100dpi, we don't display the print option.

We do not make distinction about the size and format. And we try to make it simple, if you set your artwork as a limited edition, we simply mention that this image will be "printed" only x amount of time on various format.

Yes, Pictorem offers a complete dropshipping solution: you create, we print and deliver directly to your customers, without stock to manage.

If you plan to place more than one order or you want to use Pictorem for your business or artistic activities, you can open a PRO account.
The PRO account is free, there are no membership entry fees or monthly costs.
The PRO account will give you access to discount from the public pricing on the website and allow you to do blind ship ( Dropship ) and customize your shipment

Once you have signed in for the PRO Account the drop ship service is automatically enabled. All orders going to a different address than your billing address will be set as a Drop ship? (No invoice, no mention of Pictorem, your logo).

The PRO Account will give you access to an additional rebate from the price displayed on the website and allows you to do Dropship / private label shipment. You can upload your logo ( to be displayed on packing slip, back of canvases, and on your packaging.

We do have different ordering options. We initially suggest to place your first orders on our website to get familiar with the process. Yes, we have recently launched our Shopify integration. However, its still in the early stages we are currently working hard to improve the interface. You can access to it directly from your Shopify Account. You just need to add us to your store as an app.

We guarantee that your customer will receive a product free of any production defect or product damage, this include shipping and defect in the printing. We will exchange it or ship a new one. We print at 8-bit. In fact, most fine art prints are printed from 8-bit files, even if the original image was originally 16-bit. Digital printers — even high-end models like Canon PRO series and Epson SureColor — cannot physically output 16-bit color per channel. Their output is limited to a smaller color space and dynamic range than what 16-bit files contain. Although editing and storing images in 16-bit is very useful for smoother gradients, less banding, and more flexibility in adjustments, printing at 8-bit perfectly matches the capabilities of professional printers and ensures the best results.

While we don’t offer a specific integration tool at this time, there are a few simple ways to connect your Pictorem gallery to your website. You can easily create a direct link or button that redirects your visitors to your Pictorem gallery. When you select our premium "wrap" style, 1.5 inch thick wood Frame for your canvas print, we will increase the size of your image by 1.5 inches all around. This way we can wrap the canvas around the frame with the edges of your image. We will however always check to make sure we are not removing a crucial element of your picture.

We are using a 410g/m2 fine art Matte Canvas, with a Poly cotton blend, 70% cotton and 30% polyester to provide the best strength and pure white color.

To know which varnish to choose, it is important to understand the differences between each:

The non-varnished canvas has a stronger texture of the cotton which works very well for paintings.

The matte varnish has a much sleeker finish with a stronger depth in colors, making it more suitable for realistic photographed images (family, landscape, etc.).

The glossy finish is best used for images that are semi-digital (edited images) or digital images, with the glaze of the finish creating a reflection that almost emulates the lighting of a screen.

By default, a white border is automatically included on all prints. It's a choice you make during checkout on the shopping cart page. You will have a choice between various extra border size or an exact cut. If you need a specifc width of white border not listed , i would suggest to include a white border to your file and select exact cut on the shopping cart.

In some conditions it will be hard to differenciate them! The HD Metal Print will be able to render slightly richer black, brighter white and more saturated colors. This is an advantage if you want to generate a high impact colorful and contrasted result. Max size is 60x40 The Acrylic print will provide very precise and sharp details, and the thickness of the acrylic (1/8 or 3/16 inches) will provide a nice optical depth. And you can reach larger print size up to 96x60. If you select the floating frame mounting, we will simply add black ink on the back of the acrylic to protect the print. There is no extra layers or Sintra. The result will be clean and elegant.

If you want to measure where to drill, the standoff is 1 inch from the border, and the standoff size approx. 3/4 inch.

Yes, if you are using a screw with a head or any wall hanging mounting, the back frame system will make your print perfectly parallel to the wall with no leaning. If you see a slight lean forward from the top on some of our example pictures, it's due to the special exhibition hanging system using wire from the top of the wall in our office

We currently offer online square corner, rounded corners and round / circular prints, and special shapes, such as "surf, snow, guitar". If you need to create your own shape, please contact our sales department.

Yes, all of our mounted acrylic prints come ready to hang. Whether you select the Back Frame or Metal Standoff mounting option, your print will arrive with the necessary hardware for wall installation. The Back Frame mount can be installed using standard wall screws and will sit flush and parallel to the wall. Standoffs come with all required components, including screws and anchors. The brushed and white metal are both printed on a brushed aluminum with the printing procedure being the only difference.

In fact, the brushed metal is printed directly on the aluminum with any pale colors showing the metallic texture.

The white metal images are printed with a white ink underneath, so as to not lose any pale colors, creating a matte texture with some slight natural graininess.

We are using a flatbed printer to print directly on the brushed aluminum surface at 1200dpi. To take advantage of the brushed surface we do not print the white so the white of the picture becomes the reflective brushed metal surface

No. Our HD Metal Print ChromaLuxe’s unique coating allows prints to be showcased without the need for glass. ChromaLuxe metal prints are scratch resistant, waterproof, can be touched, and are easy to clean.

The White Gloss Metal printing will render your image exactly as you see on your screen, with vibrant colors and bright white print with a Glossy look. The Silver Gloss metal will make the light area of your image silver, we will print on a silver metal sheet so the white portion of your image will shine with metallic and glossy effect, creating an artistic look.

The HD metal is printed with a compressor that heats the ink on a chromaluxe metal creating a smooth finish to showcase a highly-defined image.

ChromaLuxe metal prints were tested by Wilhelm Imaging Research and achieved a permanence rating of more than 60 years using two distinct ink sets. This rating is more than three times better than silver halide photo papers.

We process all our images at 300 dpi (PPI) Don't enlarge your image, we will take care of it. We do suggest you send sRGB, the highest quality JPG format.

Yes if you make a sale from a product generated by the pictorem shopify app, we will get a notification and create the order for you to approve and pay.

The order will have the shipping address set as the same as your shopify order and it will be automatically dropship with no mention on Pictorem and your logo on your packing slip.

Pictorem provides a stand-alone solution to give you the possibility to sell your print reproduction of your art online. We take care of displaying your art online, the listing of your artwork, the online transaction, production and shipping. You receive then from Pictorem the commission that you define when you upload your image to Pictorem.

This is an easy and fast process to be quickly able to sell art online. You can take more energy in promoting your art and we take care of the rest.

Some users who wants to have more flexibility, and customization can create their own website with an e-commerce platform like shopify.

By doing that, the user is responsibal to setup the listing and pricing, charging the customer and placing the order with their suppliers.

Pictorem can export some of the listing generated by our website to Shopify store with some limitation: such as choice of frames & varnish, and highly customizable products such as wall murals can't be sold at this moment.

Once you sell on your own website, the shopify store will send a the order request to our website and we will dropship to your customer.

Pictorem will receive a notification and transmit the order to our system. You will get a notification from us that we have a pending order waiting for payment and confirmation your side. so you can verify if everything is fine with the product, pricing and location for example. Once you feel confortable with the entire proceess and you want to keep this verification. We can automatically bill you and ship the orders. Simply contact us and advise that you want to set the auto-bill Shopify order program.

Our program will be able to export Canvas, Acrylic, Metal, Wood, paper print and even puzzle.

Some highly customized options such as Canvas Varnish optons, or optional decorating frame choices are not available on Shopify.
